Hi

I have been thinking on how can I improve my heard and I have been takeing a good look as I feed. I wonder about the circle thing. Is it suppost to be a half circle or a quarter circle body. I thought about the high head set of the ND and I looked at my standard which is from 2004. but the ND wasn't posed on it toes but looks more relax pose. I looked at my woolys and was thinking which ones had the most eye appeal and I realized the ones that you just look at and it looks well balance was the ones that had won for me. Now the bigger does I have been keeping should I keep them. They didn't show well and will have some nice babies but then there will be a lot of ugly one also. The cute little show ones usually aren't the best breeders. Well , I'm not sure which ones will leave for sure this spring but I have several old timers that will get a last chance. I have one 3 year old that I have only got one baby out of but she was an awsome doe. I showed her and let her set whild I worked with something else than when I did breed her she didn't catch. I was checking my records and I bred her 4 times this pass year and used 3 different bucks . She is nice but I am giving her one more chance to produce something for me. One doe is 5 yr old. I never kept anything out of her . The last 2 times I bred her she didn't catch. She may end up being a pet and staying here she has an awsome personality. they are a few more that I just couldn't give up on. But I would like to improve my rabbits and I am going to take a closer look and see what I can do to improve them. I guess the Question I have been asking myself is do I want my Woolys looking like a wooled ND standing on it toes. That is what seems to win on the show table . I like this look very much. But I had the same question when I first got into woolys when the fuzzy lop was being bred into woolys. I wanted the big head but didn't want to breed another breed in. I didn't do it and I am glad I didn't so I will probable just breed the best I have into each other. If I do breed a wool dwarf it would be to a few does to see how it worked.

It is getting to the freezing weather  and I always have to deal with frozen bottle, crocks, I Have extra cups I use if the weather is freezing more than one day. I'm always looking when I go to yard sales for rabbit dishes. I'm not breeding for winter babies..I have a lot of rabbits now but not many jr.I'm not looking to sell many rabbits. I would reather have a few good one. Take care Tresia
