HI

It was a nice day to work in the rabbitry. I have been moving an old trailer that had been used for storage. we have pretty much got everthing gone but now I need to groom the area around the rabbitry. I hope to have it nice enough for Bella to play while I take care of the rabbits.I need to do a lot of work yet. sew grass and so on.For the one that hasn't been to the rabbitry the trailer was behind the rabbitry.I have 9 babies in my basement and two does. One baby was fostered. That erb's doe is great. She already had 4 when i droped her another and they are all fat babies. I have 3 does that I know will drop orange babies when bred to my buck so I am going to start breeding again to get you all some orange babies. I am not going to do them untill you all get them going good.

I am looking forward to going to Greensboro. My sister and I are going .I  hope to spend the night but not sure of that yet.Since I can't find my way out of Morganton I am going to need some one to follow. Maybe Pete and Brandy > I know they are going to have company so am not sure if they will want to do it. I sure miss Heidi. She could go anywhere.

I haven't done much with the rabbits but they look Pretty good.I did notice one jr starting to molting on her face. I am just hoping they will continue to hold their coat till Greensboro show.I am looking forward to seing everone. I will have some broken for sale. I have some rews for sale they are off my best. Take Care Tresia

Not much happening here. I brought in a couple of does that are going to have babies. I still need to bring in another . I guess I will do that tomorrow or maybe later today come to

think of it she is due the 20. I hate having rabbit in the basement . It is soo much easier to

take care of them in the rabbitry. It has been a nice day to work in the rabbitry nice and sunny even if it is cold. of course I have Bella and can't do anything till the sun goes down

but that is ok she is just a joy.Tresia

I visit with Brandy and Pete today . They have a black, broken and rew that I would have loved to bring home. They also bought some really nice one at the Penn. show. They are just great folk to visit. I could spend all day just playing with rabbits and talking. Doug had to

practical drag me away.Good thing I had droped by after the Mocksville show because old

feed and not freeze. Boy I am going to welcome spring this year.I cleaned cages yesterday but couldn't wheel barrel out hay. I just swelp up in a pile. The snow doesn't melt to my

manure pile.We are suppost to get 3 more inches tonight. NOt much happening around here.I probable want go to another show till greensboro. I am just tring to pick a few does

Hello

IT was a nice day to work in rabbitry. IT was nice to water and not haft to deal with the ice.

I cleaned the cages and the floor by that time it was 4;30 I set up some rabbits and decided

i am going to put some more does up for sale. I just don't have time to do them justice.

The does are rews. One is a rew out of a doe I got from Cherl Carrey. She is short and very nice coat. But lacks in the rear end. She has a leg. She is les than a year. One is an erb line. I have a couple of rew bucks some have legs. I will have them at the mocksville show.

I think a lot of people are going through thir rabbitry and making some tough decisions this

time of year. With all this cold weather I think about sell all of them it is tough feed and tring to get them water.I am looking forward to the show sat. Helen Mckie is coming and Judy my

sister.Brandy, I sure we will have a good show. No more snow. we want to go to the show.

Take care Tresia

Hi

I have been like most of you tring to get fresh water to my rabbits. I only fill the cups half full

but if you don't get the ice out it floats to the top and makes it hard for a rabbit to get water.

I bring in some to melt and wash cups.It takes much longer to get the chore done. My brushes was in a bucket of clorox water and they have been frozen solid. I finally got the block of ice out today and threw it on the concrete and busted some out. I have all the last round of litters into their own cage. I have two litter in the basement 3 wk. old and all but one is going to be sold. 3 are from a broken to broken breeding. The Dad will be one of Brian Caudill bucks. I got a doe from Helen Mckie and the Doe had been bred to Him.They are beautiful but are Charleys.I think they are all bucks. I have another litter with 2 a black otter and a blue otter. I think they are does but not sure.If they are does I will keep one.

I have been feeling of my rabbits , some are too fat and a couple was thin. I am going to haft to start give them something extra. I went to the feed store yesterday . They only had two kinds of hay, fescue which looked like straw and compress alfa/ I got the compress stuff and the leaves fall off when you pull it apart. They don't make as much mess with it

but just too expensive for me at 13.25 a bail.My husband found some bermuda for me so I

have a few bails of that. I worked several hours in the rabbitry today. My husband said I was

going to be found froze down there and I said nope I had a rabbit in my arms keeping me warm. I brushed some and tring to get an Idea who could got to the mocksville show jan 23.Unless a molt come over I will have a broken doe there.but can't say about anything else. It seems like everthing in my rabbitry is loosing fur and just looks shagy.Don't they know it winter and they need that coat. The concrete floor in the rabbitry doesn't help anything it is cold. The sun shines in one end and I stay pretty warm with the heavy platic up.

Not much else going on around here just feed and clean waiting for the next show

Hope to see you soon. Tresia

Hi

I have been helping my sister get ready for the show sat.We ck her ear #,weight  and she picked out 7 to take to the show. I came home and rechecked my heard. but it was getting dark so I guess I will haft to finish up tomorrow. I have 3 broken i am taking and Judy has one so some one else please take one.It is funny how nice the rabbits look than you start

brushing and they have a knot on the sholder and all of a sudden you realize she in a molt.

That happen to me a couple of times.I had to change my mind about who is going to the show.I miss Heidi putting up show scheduels and the such.I am hoping the weather holds

out and my sister-in-law will be ok.She is in serious shape and I am looking to be called to the hospital any time.

Sue . I am thinking about you and hope you will be ok.Looking forward to seeing you at another show.I'm not good with words at time like these but my prayers are with you.

Brandy thanks for the  Christmas card it brightened up my day.

Take care Tresia

merry christmas

Posted by tbwoolys at 10:49 PM on December 23, 2009

Hi everone

I hope you are having a good christmas. The rabbits will be glad when it over so they will get a little more attension. I haven't been down to the rabbitry today. My husband fed, a rare

thing. I had some running around to do getting ready to fix dinner tomorrow. I spent the evening cleaning and preparing to cook tomorrow.

I am looking forward to the show next sat in Taylorville. I sure hope it isn't snowing . I have had enough already. I still have about 10 inches in my drive.I had to carry gro up the

drive in the snow to get it to the house. What was I thinking the most gro I have bought all year.

I have two litter of babies. 4 broken , the other is a  blue otter and a black otter.I will have an orange for sale at Taylorville. it will be 6 weeks old but I have kept it in the house since it

was born since he was a loner. I have one more doe bred. I am going to bring her in tomorrow. I don't think I will be breeding till spring. It is too hard to run them back and forth

to the rabbitry. I hope ever one a safe and merry Christmas. tresia

brr it is cold

Posted by tbwoolys at 08:59 PM on December 11, 2009

Hi

I had a water isssue today. part of the bottles were froze. I had to put out the cups since the

water system is down. It isn't worth the effort if you don't use a heater and a pipes that circulate. I Don't know if I will hook it back in the spring.I feel it was money wasted.I don't trust bottles most of the time they work but what about that bottle that wasn't working and i

lost a litter because mom did have milk becase the water wasn't coming out. I am going to use cups and replace my bottles as i can afford it.

The rabbits are doing good. I have some does due the 15 so I am going to move them indoors tomorrow.I think they are 3 I will haft to look. I'm not breeding anymore for a while

I have all cages full as is.

My newest addition is a dwarf goat baby. I got two does from my sister and she had bred them. I had a little buck born yesterday. He is so cute. He want be staying though. I have already been looking into castration. I hope i can sell him for a pet to someone but it is too

early to decide now. Bella may fall in love in which case i will haft to feed him for life.

  Stay warm Tresia
